General Contractor + Owner

After graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science, Ben grew in trade from an apprentice to a master carpenter under his father’s tutelage at Becker Custom Building.

In 2012, Ben founded BLB Custom Building, which quickly evolved into numerous residential and commercial projects - ranging from renovations to complete builds - throughout the Greater Newburyport area and Boston's North Shore. With a crew comprised of master craftsmen, Ben demands perfection and oversees each project with attention to detail. Ben has held his Construction Supervisors License for over a decade, and routinely participates in Continuing Education courses and opportunities to better his craft, refine skills, and learn the latest techniques in his field. As an insured builder, his customers can be assured that their home renovations and builds are in secure hands. Ben is a Certified Universal Design Professional, has completed OSHA-30 training, and hold his Lead Safe certification.

Ben believes strongly in giving back to the community and has shaped BLB Custom Building around this mentality. Throughout the year, Ben and his employees volunteer their time to both support and fundraise for various organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center and Our Neighbors Table, just to name a few.
