Redefining What It Means to Be Organized
Updated: Aug 14, 2019
This 14’ v-nose trailer is 100% custom-built and organized to hold twice the amount of tools and supplies that a typical trailer will allow for.
When it comes to organization, John Planty doesn’t fool around. When brainstorming a design for his new trailer, John had two goals in mind; a place for everything and everything in its place. Having all the right tools for the job is important as is accessibility and safety. His design allowed for the storage of frequently used tools near the front of the trailer with the ease of not having to move other tools to access them. Each shelf and drawer is fully adjustable and was custom fabricated with various locking mechanisms to ensure workplace safety as well as the protection of his tools and equipment when transporting the trailer to various jobs. Powered by truck and shore power, this trailer comes fully equipped with a custom charging station and LED lighting throughout. Dual inverters were installed to backfeed everything off 120v for the purpose of charging 12v batteries and tools. This trailer even comes equipped with custom roof racks to store material for any job - it’s truly the ultimate mobile tool station!
Everything in the trailer is clearly labeled making finding the right tool both effortless and timely. There are various ways that you can organize items; common approaches include alphabetically, chronologically and by use. When it comes to labeling, there’s no right or wrong way to do so. Whatever approach you take depends on the practicality of your application and the individual who will be spending the majority of their time using the trailer.
Practicality is an understatement when describing John Planty’s trailer. In order to run a successful job, you must have the correct systems and organization in place to do so, and this trailer sets the bar high.
