The Return of Renovations: A Homeowner's Perspective
Updated: Dec 9, 2020
2020 has proven to be a year like no other, and transitioning into a "new normal" will certainly be a difficult adjustment. While some return to work, others remain #WorkFromHome warriors who are searching for a change of scenery, a boost of inspiration, and increased productivity. BLB Custom Building is here to help with all your Work From Home renovation needs, and we understand that this is a challenging time to welcome new faces into your home.
To navigate home renovations during COVID-19, BLB has taken a step back to visualize the homeowner's perspective and how contractors can actively ease clients' minds all while delivering high-quality projects.
I'm interested in remodeling my home, but I want to limit in-person contact. What should I do?
BLB encourages you to call our office or fill out our contact form to discuss your project needs. We will then schedule a Zoom Meeting or FaceTime call to remotely review your scope of work, timeline, target budget, and address any remaining questions. Our Zoom calls have been a wonderful tool to safely get to know one another and develop a quality scope--all within the comfort of our homes or offices.
What should I expect when I invite contractors into my home?
Following our calls, scope review, and design development, our project manager will schedule a time for trades to visit your home. All individuals attending the site visit will be required to wear face coverings and other PPE as needed. If you are uncomfortable with several people within your home, we will schedule multiple site visits to limit the amount of close contact between tradesmen, our team, and yourself.
How will contractors social distance in my small space?
Regardless of size, BLB Custom Building adheres to the local and national OSHA and COVID-19 safety standards. All projects will be furnished with hand sanitation stations, face masks will be required if a 6 ft. minimum is not able to be maintained, and we are actively limiting the number of subcontractors on the project site daily.
We understand your concerns and two of our top priorities are making our customers happy and comfortable. As we navigate through this unprecedented time, we want you to have peace of mind throughout your home remodel.
